Instructions: Draw a large star on the construction paper. Cut out. Write your desire in the center of the star. In a magick circle (in the appropriate moon quarter), begin with your hand in the air over your head, as if you are reaching up to grab something. Then as you recite the charm, lower your arm and touch the points of the star in a clockwise direction (to draw something towards you) or counterclockwise (to push soemthing away from you). Repeat the following charm 3 times:

From the heavens to the ground

    stars above send energy down.

Earth and air, fire and water

soul of man, son and daughter.

    Circle round without an end

evil flees and time will bend.

    Star of power, points alfame

    unify in Goddess' name!

Beginning with the top point, fold each point clockwise toward the center of the star. Tape to secure. Carry in pocket or purse until your desire has manifested. Be sure to say thank you and burn scattering the cool ashes in the wind.

    Money and Prosperity Spell

Fill a small, black purse with silver coins, Add three mint leaves (to draw money, four garlic peels (to keep money once you have it)one silver pentacle (or draw the pentacle on a piece of yellow paper), some silver glitter, three silver bells (to dispel negative energy around your finances) a spring of rue, and a piece of pepper plant. On a slip of paper, write your name and the amount of money needed, then add the words" and a little extra" Place the paper inside the purse. Close the purse. Say the following chat nine times while shaking the purse:

    Money, money, come to me.

    Bring me to prosperty.

    Silver coins and silver bells,

    silver star the money swells!

Begins saying softly, then increase volume of voice as you raise energy. Leave the purse on your alter or carry it with you until you receive the money. To keep money flowing toward you, remember to give some of what you have received to charity or a friend in need. Save the money bag until you need it again. Add fresh herbs and three more coins to reactivate the energy.

To Banish Someone's Influence from Your Life

Write the person's name who is giving you problems in big black letters on a large piece of paper. With mortar and pestle, mix salt, black pepper, and red pepper together. Trace the letters on the paper with glue. While still wet sprinkle the blue with the banishing mixture. As the glue dries, repeat the following chat:

    Goddess made thee man/woman (boy/girl)

and dog, nose to the ground and let me be,

    run----not walk----away from me.

When completely dry, burn the paper and place the ashes near the person who is bothering you.

    The Essence of Witchcraft

...is transformation. The idea is to take the "you" currently present and accounted for and change your essence into something better, greater, stronger, and incredibly dynamic. Being a Witch means to want to work every day to be a better person. When you change yourself, then the worls around you cannot help but change.. There's no getting around it. All this changing can be alot of hard work-- end there are certain aspects of the path that rewuire time. effort, and energy. Although many of the things youy truly want can be achieved in a short time with the techinques presented; there are other issues in your life that will require patiende, effort, and practice to reach your ultimate goals. That's okay. If you didnt have to work at some things, then the study wouldnt seem worthwhile. To be a Witch, you must be brave enough to face everything inside of you, and have the courage to change the things you do not like. Being a Witch has nothing to do with spells, rituals, and the unusual clothing--they are the fun stuff! To be a Witch is to desire personal transformation.

    Bedtime Blessing

Close your eyes and breathe deeply three or four times until you feel relaxed and at peace. Imgina that your entire body is filled with brilliant, white light. If you like, hold your hands over your heart and say:

In the still of the night

while the world around me sleeps

may the angels smile upon me

and the Lady bring me peace.

Blessings upon (list those whom you would

like to remember in your prayers.)

I know that You will care for them

and bring them what they need.

    Instill in me great harmony

    inthought and word and dee.

    So mote it be.

    Old Sayings & Lore

    1. To cry for the Moon is an old saying that means you are craving or demanding something that you can't have.

    2. The word moonshine has two meanings. In the U.S. it means "illegally distilled liquor" also known as "white lightening". An older meaning was "total nonsense".

    3. A waning Moon was considered an unlcuky time for marriage or birth.

    4. In English, French, Italian, Latin and Greek, the MOon is feminine; but in all the Teutonic Languages the Moon is masculine. In Sanskrit, the word for the Moon is mas, which is masculine.

    5. To the Chinese, the Old Man in the Moon was Yue-lao. It was his duty to predestine the marriages of mortals. They said he tied the future husband and wife together with an invisible silk cord that never prated as long as they lived.

    6. Altho the Koran expressly forbids worshipping the Sun or Moon, many Moslems still clasp their hands at the sight of a New Moon and offer a prayer.

    Forest Potpourri

2 ounces geranium leaves (pine scented)

    1 ounce balsam fir needles

    4 ounces sweet woodruff

    3 tablespoons cedar chips

    1 tablespoon violets

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    2 ounces German rue

    2 tablespoons pine needles

    1 ounce powdered orris root

    1 drop bergamot oil

    Magick Hands Poster

This is a project that is easy for a child or an inexperienced adult to make for themselves or to give as a gift. Healers and magicians can use it as a focal point at the beginning of meditation.

Trace onto paper the outline of both your hands withthe fingers outspread. Transfer these outlines to white felt and carefully cut them out. Cut out a 3" diameter circle from the white felt also. Using a golden color felt, cut out the two wings, one for each side of the globe. Arrange these pieces onto a square of blue felt and glue into place.

If you are handy with needle and thread, the same desgin can be cut from cloth instead of felt, with the pieces appliqued in place. This can then be used as either a wall hanging or a banner.

    Rituals

    Personal Peace and Happiness

It can be a simple task to make a demon trap for your home. This device wil trap incoming negative entities before they can disrupt the harmony of your residence.

Take a white piece of paper. When write the following words on it, write them in a spiral, leading from the outer edge to the center of the paper.

Write: "All you spirits of disruption and disharmony, into this trap you are drawn. From the center you can only return to your original domain."

Place this flat under the rug by the front door. If anyone enters with such creatures in their wake, the "demons" will be trapped at the door. This is a very ancient device used by the people of the Mesopotamia.
